Proud to have one of my favorite portraits featured in The Jersey Journal today in a feature on the amazing DJ DX. Shout out to the talented Summer Dawn Hortillosa for a great feature!

Jersey City rapper Robert Van Liew, better known as DJ DX, records many of his tracks in his producer DJ Madden's humble home studio. His songs, however, are heard well beyond Chilltown's 21 square miles.

Some interior shots we did for Mamajuana Cafe in Secaucus. We love their food and patronage, and we're always impressed by the vibe of the crowds. I cut my teeth as a photographer in restaurants, but rarely are the patrons so friendly and curious as the regulars here. If you're in North Jersey, I highly recommend you check this place out.

Looking to gain a basic understanding of external flash and studio lighting? You can do so by signing up for my sister's workshop, which I'll be helping teach. It will be hands on and we expect you to leave with the ability to comfortably light a variety of subjects with little more than a speedlight and a reflector. I also hear that there will be snacks. :D

Fall is always a time of change, which is why a wedding at the very end of summer seems so fitting. I've known Steve for years now, and it was an honor to shoot such a beautiful wedding. The ceremony was at Green Lane Park, lit by beautiful shady light through still green trees.
