If you haven’t been to Pizzeria Giove yet… add it to your list. 🍕🍷

There’s a reason this Staten Island spot gets so much love. It’s run by three-time World Pizza Champion Giorgio Giove, who even famously defeated Bobby Flay on television — so naturally, we had to see what all the hype was about.

We started with a bottle of Cab and basically decided we needed to try everything.

The Calamari Fritti was perfectly crispy and tender, followed by the octopus with these AMAZING fried potato fritters — such an unexpected combination and SO good.

Then came the rice balls with pesto and cheese sauces, which we could have easily ordered another round of.

The Pappardelle ai Funghi Tartufati though?! Mushroom, truffle, creamy perfection. Absolutely TO DIE FOR. Daniela ate the entire plate — not a bite left behind. 😂

Of course, I requested a classic cheese pizza because sometimes the simplest pizza tells you everything you need to know about a pizzeria — and it did NOT disappoint.

But we also got to try the NEW Staten Island pizza — zucchini sauce, oven-roasted tomatoes, topped with crispy capocollo chips and deconstructed burrata. 🔥 Such a creative combination of flavors and textures, and easily one of the standouts of the night.

And we weren’t leaving without dessert.

The tiramisu was exactly how I like it. It’s not all about the ladyfingers — give me the CREAM! Rich, smooth, creamy perfection. Cappuccinos afterward were the perfect ending.

Amazing food, great w**e, lots of laughs and even better company.

World champion pizza with a Staten Island twist. Pizzeria Giove, we’ll definitely be back. 🤌🏼🍕
