Jefferson Parish Parent

Jefferson Parish Parent Live, Love, LOCAL! Jefferson Parish Parent is your go-to resource for family-friendly things to do in Jefferson Parish! Let’s work together!

Hi, I’m Cara — a Florida native and New Orleans girl rolled into one! I was born in Florida, raised in New Orleans, and spent most of my summers soaking up the sun in Clearwater. I’ve bounced between Pensacola, Apopka, and back to NOLA — because what’s that saying? A New Orleans girl always finds her way home. I’m a mom of two (23 and 16) and a bonus mom to a sweet 6-year-old. My happy place is anywhere with magic — especially Disney World — and I’m a sucker for cult documentaries, cute dogs, and a cozy night of TikTok scrolling. Professionally, I blend storytelling, photography, digital content, and family travel. I’ve been working with national and local brands since 2007 as a blogger, photographer, and social media consultant. You may recognize past projects like Peanuts Are Evil, Jefferson Parish Parent, or Pint-Sized NOLA. Today, through my brand , I focus on lifestyle photography, magical vacations, and travel planning with Magical Destinations Travel.
