Protecting Volusia’s rivers, wetlands and natural lands takes more than a campaign slogan—it takes action.
Since I took office, I have worked alongside my fellow County Council members and our conservation partners to help protect more than 8,300 acres across Volusia County.
That includes supporting the recent 1,335-acre expansion adjoining Deep Creek Preserve—creating approximately 9,395 acres of protected land within the Volusia Conservation Corridor. These lands preserve wildlife habitat, protect natural water-filtration areas and provide important floodplain protection.
Places like Spruce Creek and our conservation corridor are part of what makes Volusia home. I will continue supporting responsible growth, protecting our waterways and conserving the natural Florida we all love.
Real results. Lasting protection.
