Happy world photo day ! 📸

My archive of photos is only getting bigger and bigger. There are so many incredible moments that I can choose from and this is just a snippet of the things that I’ve seen as a photographer.

I’ve been in some of the most public moments and some of the incredibly private ones. Broadway, funerals, behind the scenes, orchestras, marriages, kitchens, homes, etc.

From day one, I never wanted to keep myself holed up doing one type of photography. The one glue that keeps it all together is people. These photos wouldn’t be what they are without the interactions I’ve made with those individuals, and I don’t take that lightly. When folks give me their time, I consider it as one of the greatest honors.

As I continue the early stages of my career as a photographer, I can’t tell you how excited I am to continue to document and create even more beautiful photos.

I really do pride myself in my craft. If I don’t believe in myself, who will? Yes, others “might.” But I always have to put myself first since I’m the one who’s fending for myself at the end of the day. I do my work well, I push out amazing work. Rinse and repeat. A lot of people, especially entrepreneurs, think lower about themselves because they don’t want to take advantage of others. If you’re helping them win with amazing products/service and they’re happy, isn’t that enough? Am I rambling because I’m just trying to push out content, perhaps. But am I also a strong believer in believing in yourself, AND also believing in others who put ACTUAL good work out there? HECK YEAH. If I have straight up TOLD you that you do good work, best believe you know I mean it. Start believing in yourself, otherwise… you not chic. 🤷‍♂️

Is it kinda chic to quit my 9-5 for a 24/7 job? It is indeed quite chic and I don’t regret anything about that decision. Is my life chic? YES IT IS. 🫪

Oh and this is only the type of the kinda chic iceberg.

How is my phone still so packed with BTS BTS official concert from that day. Is anybody else experience this same problem? Jkay, I love revisiting this day with Aleja Villa or just by myself 🤪🤪🤪

On behalf of Spain winning the World Cup, doing a throwback post to photographing Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana at Chelsea Factory back in December 2023. I remember all the energy that the performers laid on the stage that day. I haven’t watched a lot of Flamenco, but it’s one of those performances that has a tremendous amount of storytelling and passion when it comes to the music and dance. I get very hyped watching them - tapping my feet and participating in the unisons of OLÉ! Congratulations on Spain winning again, and will be posting more work throughout the summer! ☀️💃

This summer is still going stronger than ever in New York City. ☀️⚽️

Even though team Colombia (one I was rooting for) is out of the FIFA World Cup, so much respect for the heart the players left on the field. I don’t normally watch soccer but the energy is so contagious and I know what it’s like to exhaust yourself for the love of a sport. I’m thankful to my wife Aleja Villa for introducing me to my first World Cup game. Plus all the games we watched were in spaces with the local community. Finals are today, so whoever you’re rooting for, root strong, root hard, and let’s have a spectacular match. 👏 👏 👏

VAMOSSSSSS.

This was one of the coolest events I got to photograph for Lincoln Center and nationaldoubledutchleague last year, and I’m very much looking forward to it again later today. Jumping rope isn’t one of my fortes, but photographing these very talented individuals is. It’s lovely getting to see a community brought together for the love of the sport, and one that has deep NYC roots at that.
