“Music is a world within itself
With a language we all understand” - Stevie wonder
As this musician played one of my favorite songs of all time it reminded me that music can paint a picture. The song “ Sir Duke” pays homage to Duke Ellington Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, by seamless stitching their play styles into one song. It’s great to listen to as a casual listener, awesome to listen to as a writer/composer and astounding to listen to if you play instruments
As someone who makes music, who began making his own production, it’s a feat I wish to accomplish one day.
