Photography has always been an interest of mine ever since childhood. But it was when I took my first photography class as an undergraduate that I realized I had truly fallen in love with the art of photography. There's something about being in the dark room, developing your own film that creates such a sense of accomplishment and artistry that digital can't compete with. Since earning my bachelor's degree in journalism I have lived and taught in Germany, Ohio and Hawaii. The majority of my landscape portfolio is from international travel and Hawaii. I also have experience as an event photographer and have worked with several newspapers in Florida and Ohio. I have also had the opportunity to be the photographer for events hosted by Academia Language School in Honolulu, Hawaii and Rennert International in South Beach, Florida. My desire to combine my love for photography and travel was the catalyst for creating CourtAleise Photography. After moving to South Florida in late 2012 to teach at the University of Miami I decided that it was time to share my passion with others. I hope you enjoy a look at the world through my lens.
