A collaborative endeavor between Noxie Studio Photography and the BearMaiden, the Boudoir Beauty Photoshoot Parties are designed as a gathering for women to come together in a fun, non-judgmental and supportive way. The parties are usually held in one of New York City’s “boutique” hotels (locations vary) where we cheer each other on as we get hair and make up “did,” play “dress up” and get our glam on. We think that all women, regardless of shape, age or color are beautiful, we get especially excited about those of us “of a certain age…” We provide hair and make up, pose-coaching, and expert help with wardrobe and accessory selections. Traci Anderson of Noxie Studio and Jesi (the BearMaiden) met one summer night five years ago, and discovered they were both photographers. Combined, they have over thirty years of photography experience; Noxie Studio is a successful fashion and lifestyle photographer, the BearMaiden takes a more artfully photo-journalistic approach. The Boudoir Beauty Parties came about when Mr. Anderson gave Jesi a glamorous photo shoot for her birthday. Not used to being in front of the camera, Jesi thoroughly enjoyed the process and wanted to share the fun with her friends. Boudoir Beauty Photoshoot Parties currently happen about twice a year.
