I’m slowly sorting through 15 years worth of darkroom equipment and getting more of it up on eBay & Facebook Marketplace.

It’s strange watching something that took so long to build disappear slowly, then suddenly, then slowly again. The space is gone, but there’s still all this equipment left behind — easels, lenses, lab gear, darkroom tools, scanners, and more.

So I’m working through it piece by piece and trying to get as much of it as possible into working darkrooms, labs, classrooms, studios, and the hands of people who will actually use it.

These sales are helping me cover my living expenses while I figure out what comes next, so I’m pricing things based on their actual market value and I’m open to fair offers.

Take a look, make an offer, share it with someone who might need something. I’ll keep adding more as I sort through storage, and I’ll be sharing more of my own personal prints too.

ALERT: if you had film developed between April 1-June 30 your negatives are in this bin.

Older film was discarded in accordance with our long standing 30 day policy.

If you would like your negatives back please DM w a mailing address we can send them to & PayPal $7 to [email protected] to cover the cost of shipping.

All film remaining in this bin after Sept 30 will be discarded.

Hello Everyone, 

You may have already heard, but we want to officially announce to you all that Bushwick Community Darkroom has regrettably shut its doors. 

June was filled with love, support and a heartwarming display of community action, for which I am eternally grateful. 

I will never forget the times we shared in the darkroom. Members, volunteers, and performers showed up when we needed them most. You offered your love and creativity, and you showed us that community truly is the reason for it all. 

I will forever be proud of what we did, and that we tried. I think doing our best and supporting what we believe in is just as much a success as any. We will always fight for communities that provide a home for artists and creatives. 

I’m sure you’re all wondering what the plan is, where the GoFundMe money is going, or what’s next for the Bushwick Community Darkroom. I’m sorry for not doing this sooner, and we thank you for your patience. Processing has been hard and delayed our ability to make a fully transparent statement that you all deserve. 

We have been using a portion of the gofundme to recuperate costs incurred in the past month and moving out of the space, as well as compensation for the volunteers that helped to give us a month of fun and spirit. Once all of this is sorted out, we will be making a donation of the remainder to Gowanus Darkroom, as community remains as important as ever in our little world of analog. Please reach out to me directly if you have any questions or would like to discuss reimbursement for your contribution. (Sasha Brunetti🫀)

We will be continuing to pursue creative endeavors, community events, and all things analog. Stop by and visit us at our studio sometime to reminisce over memories or create new ones. We’d love to see you.

This is not goodbye, it’s see you later. As Lucia always said, I’ll see you under the safelight.
