O'Shae Sibley and Laura Ann Carleton were murdered by homophobic/transphobic folks under the age of 30.

In fact, one of them was only 17 years old.

Parents are failing.

Your only job is to love them unconditionally and teach them to respect and treat others the way they want to be treated (even those who are different from you).

That's it, y'all.

So, the next time you hear a friend or family member make a casual gay joke...CALL THEM OUT.

The next time you hear a friend, coworker or family member make some snarky comment about how they won't do pronouns or think we should be policing bathrooms - CALL THEM OUT.

The next time you hear a friend, coworker or family member casually call each other homophobic slurs or use transphobic languange- CALL THEM OUT.

The next time you hear ANYBODY say ANYTHING derogatory about the LGBTQIA2S+ community- CALL THEM OUT.

The excuses they give are BS.

Tell them how dangerous and wrong it is...

Let's talk about this loser...

The woman he shot and killed, Laura Ann Carleton, was a well-known fashion designer in Los Angeles and operated two clothing stores

She was also known for supporting the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Carleton, who preferred to be called Lauri, showed her support by putting small rainbow flags in flower pots outside her store and when they were stolen, she would replace them with even bigger ones.

LAURA ANN CARLETON SHOULD STILL BE ALIVE.

So, the next time you hear a friend or family member make a casual gay joke...CALL THEM OUT.

"Gaslighting is the action of repetitively (and often brazenly) lying to someone to manipulate, and ultimately control them and the relationship. It could be divided into four different types: outright lying, manipulation of reality, scapegoating and coercion."

"Gaslighting is an insidious type of abuse that is difficult to identify and break free of."

It’s about entitlement and seeking to control another person (see: Republicans).
