15 hydrangeas delivered early + 90° heat + kids sports chaos = one exhausted mom trying to keep the castle projects moving 😅

I swear it was 60° one minute and suddenly felt like the middle of July. Between baseball games, activities, and getting home after 9PM from a doubleheader, there was NO way I was getting the w**d barrier and mulch down before planting… so yes, I’m doing this backwards 😂 but sometimes you just do the best you can with the time and energy you’ve got.

The hydrangeas needed to get in the ground, so we made it happen anyway One thing I’m learning during this castle restoration journey is that perfection is not realistic when you’re balancing motherhood, sports schedules, renovations, and real life all at once.

Can’t wait to see these hydrangeas grow into the dreamy hedge I’ve been envisioning around the castle 🤍

I’m SO excited to get these planted and start bringing more life back to this property… but if I’m being honest, every time we finish one project at the castle, three more seem to appear 😅

That’s the reality of restoring a home that sat neglected for years constant surprises, endless to-do lists, and learning everything as we go. But little by little, stone by stone, it’s coming back to life. 🤍

Can’t wait to see these hydrangeas grow into the dreamy hedge wall I’ve been envisioning ✨
