Anyone else have this problem right before they go out to make photos?

You’ll be glad you did 🫡

For as long as I can remember I’ve always been a hopeless (hopeful) romantic so when I started shooting “date night” style couples photography in 2023 it just felt right at home. Taking everything I’ve learned with photography to help couples bring out the most authentic, candid and fun sides of their love. Can wait to tell capture more love stories soon! ❤️

Have you been thinking of getting your portrait taken lately? I would highly consider getting it done on film to have a timeless feeling when you look back on it. Let’s connect if you’re in📍 Brisbane 🇦🇺 and make it happen! 📸✨

As I meet more people overseas and take my street portraits I am torn between colour and black and white. What do you think?

This is your reminder to just take that photo 📸 From the moment we met .millan.windorski at 2026 two months ago we could just feel that she would move on to represent The Philippines 🇵🇭 at 2026! So now it’s OFFICIAL ✨ Congratulations Bea on winning 2026! Best of luck on your journey to the crown 👑

This is your sign. Pick up some film and just shoot. For years I told myself this would be the year I would try out film and I just kept making excuse after excuse not to try it. You’ve probably made them all too.

“Film will be so expensive”
“I could get the film look on my digital camera”
“I’m not sure about using manual controls”
“36 shots per roll feels so limiting”

But the joy I felt receiving my first scans back from made me think “wow, why didn’t I start this sooner?!”

It all started two months ago on a trip to Vietnam when I met an awesome photographer at .cafe in Saigon. She led me to where I found my first point and shoot 35mm AF Pentax and a roll of Yes Star 400 film.

With my new camera and film I started to think, “okay, with 36 exposures, what am I gong to shoot?” Well 9 years ago when I got into photography with my first cameras I fell in love with taking portraits. So in honor of the journey, I decided to take all portraits of people I meet with this first roll. I loved getting to meet more people because of this new assignment I set out for myself and it reminded me why I got into photography in the first place - because of the people.

So here are People in Places on Film.

Message me if I took your portrait in the last two months! Going to just keep making portraits - see you out there!

https://robesdornagon.com/blog/5-things-every-photographer-needs-to-succeed

Here are 5 things I’ve learned in the last 8 years that every photographer needs in order to be successful with their freelance work.

My favorite is having unreasonable hospitality. Hospitality is in my blood being a Filipino. I take that level of hospitality to the highest level I can when it comes to my work with clients. At the end of the day people just want to be felt, seen and heard. People will always remember how you made them FEEL.

Ready to book your next photographer for an Event? Photo shoot? Headshots? Announcement? Wedding? Just keep me in mind ✨

I’ve been taking images with digital cameras for the last eight years and in that time I have shot all kinds of images from portraits, weddings, couples, street, and food. I’ve also shot with mobile device cameras, FujiFilm cameras, Ricoh cameras, and Sony cameras. Here are 5 things every photog...
