Some assignments arrive unexpectedly.
I was called in at the last minute to photograph the Penthouse Suite at Loews Regency New York, a residence that rented for approximately $16,000 per night. During the shoot, I learned something extraordinary: the suite had been occupied by the same resident for twelve years.
Because of that long-term residency, there had been almost no opportunity to photograph the space. The timing was unique. One resident was moving out and another long-term occupant from a waiting list was preparing to move in.
For a hospitality photographer, these are the moments that matter. Beyond luxury interiors and beautiful design, photography becomes a way of preserving a brief chapter in a property's history.
