After all the frosting has been tasted and the custom set has been "thoroughly enjoyed," we always end our milestone sessions with a boutique bubble bath. Honestly? It might be my favorite part of the entire session.

There is something about the warm water and the bubbles that brings out the most genuine, belly-laughing expressions. It’s the perfect way for your little one to wind down after the excitement of their big 1st birthday celebration—and the best part for parents? There is nothing quite like a cake smash session to celebrate the big Number One. It is pure, unadulterated joy (and usually a lot of frosting!). I love welcoming these little personalities back into my private in-home studio; it’s the perfect controlled, comfortable environment where they can feel free to explore, taste, and get as messy as they want.

We made it! 🎉 We are officially past the halfway point of winter, and I don’t know about you, but I am more than ready to trade these heavy coats for some salt air and sand between my toes. 🌊☀️

As much as I love a cozy indoor moment, I am truthfully starting to feel a bit "over" being stuck inside. My mind is already drifting toward those warm, golden evenings on the shore.

Living in Port Washington, we are so incredibly lucky to be surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches on Long Island. I have a few "hidden gem" spots I love to recommend—places where the light hits the water just right and the kids have plenty of room to run and be themselves.

When I made the decision to offer physical products to my clients, I knew I couldn’t just "shoot in the dark" and pick a random lab online.

I wanted to see the textures, feel the weight of the paper, and test the durability of the leather for myself. So, I headed to a professional trade show to sample multiple vendors in person. I spent days comparing stitching, color accuracy, and cover materials because I knew my clients deserved the best.

What I learned is that, just like I specialize in specific types of photography, labs also have their own specialties. That’s why I ultimately didn't settle on just one lab! I’ve carefully hand-picked different vendors for different products.

Whether it’s the rich, rugged feel of my Walnut Leather Heirloom Albums or the vibrant, archival quality of my wall art, each piece is sourced from the lab that does that specific product better than anyone else in the industry. 🏛️✨
