This 50th birthday shoot was a journey — from finding the perfect look, to image selection, to navigating a few technical bumps along the way. But that’s the beauty of growth… it’s not always seamless, but it’s always worth it.

And this right here? Worth every single step.

There’s something so powerful about the bond between a mother and her daughter.
It’s not always perfect… but when it’s rooted in love, support, and sacrifice, it becomes one of the most beautiful relationships we’ll ever experience.

This photo right here is a reminder that motherhood is deeper than the title.

This is , a mother of twins and when I tell you… she carries strength so gracefully. She’s the kind of mom who will pour into her children with everything she has, just to make sure they have the best. Not because it’s easy… but because that’s what love looks like.

Makes me think of my own mother.
The challenges she faced.
The hard jobs she worked.
The sacrifices she made without ever making it feel heavy.

I am who I am because of her.
Because she didn’t quit.
Because she kept going.
Because she loved us through it all.

So today, this is your reminder:
- If you have a mother who supports you, love on her.
- If you’re a mother doing your best, I see you.
- And if you’re still healing from what you didn’t get, you’re still worthy of love and softness too.

Because motherhood… is a whole legacy. 💛

She specializes in advanced scalp health, professional education, and helping beauty professionals build ethical, sustainable businesses rooted in expertise and integrity.

Walking into the studio, she brought such a grounded energy purposeful, calm, and confident. But what I loved most was watching her settle into the experience… letting herself be celebrated, not just for what she does, but for who she is.

And when she smiled?! 😍

Yeah… smiling looks GOOD on you, Guslene. Like radiant, unstoppable, in-your-element GOOD.

Some yeses come from strategy.
Others come straight from the heart.

When .ladawn shared what she was stepping into; a bold, public, deeply personal commitment to raise funds for Charlotte Ballet and the Urban League of Central Carolinas, I felt it immediately. The courage. The purpose. The stretch.

Without hesitation, I asked, “How can I help?”

What started as a conversation quickly became action. Before we knew it, we were on the Brooklyn Bridge in freezing temps, big energy, lots of laughs, and a shared belief that when you show up for something bigger than yourself, the discomfort fades.

This is the work I care about - community, service, and using my gifts to support meaningful impact. Being part of Megan’s journey, even in a small way, felt deeply aligned.

Megan, thank you for trusting me and welcoming my ideas. Your courage is contagious.
