I had the pleasure of photographing Josh Novak, Senior Client Partner at We see the title. We celebrate the success. But we don’t always know the story behind it.Photographing Josh was an honor, but hearing his journey hit differently.From adversity to leadership. From learning to blend in… to fully owning who he is.

What moved me most is that his obstacles didn’t harden him… they expanded him. They gave him empathy, curiosity, and the ability to see people beyond resumes and titles.

Behind every title of mom, especially a parent raising a child with autism, is a woman who is often pouring from a cup no one checks to see is empty. So often, parents spend every ounce of themselves caring for everyone else, leaving little to nothing for themselves. Watching Marilyn take a moment to simply be… to allow herself to be seen, celebrated, and cared for, made me reflect on how often I forget to do the same. Because the truth is, pouring into yourself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary. You cannot keep giving from an empty place.

Sometimes strength looks like finally choosing yourself, even for a moment. Let this be your gentle reminder to ask yourself; what do I need? 💙 ❤️

In case this is your reminder…

Transformation isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s in the way a woman walks into the room owning exactly who she is.

Photographing Hazel, again, has me smiling because this is exactly why I do what I do. It’s never just about taking a beautiful photo. It’s about presence. Confidence. Storytelling. Seeing yourself in a way that reminds you just how powerful you already are.

Despite all that she has been through...Hazel showed up! This is your reminder that we are allowed to take up space, be seen, and step fully into EVERY version of ourselves.

There’s something so powerful about a woman who carries so many titles…Mother. Wife. Entrepreneur. Sister. Daughter. Friend.

And somehow, through all the roles, all the responsibilities, all the ways she pours into everyone else… she still finds a way to show up with grace, strength, softness, and light.

Julie, thank you for trusting me to capture you not just how you look, but who you are. A woman who gives so much of herself to the people she loves, while still holding onto the beauty of who she is at her core.

This 50th birthday shoot was a journey — from finding the perfect look, to image selection, to navigating a few technical bumps along the way. But that’s the beauty of growth… it’s not always seamless, but it’s always worth it.

And this right here? Worth every single step.
