Over the many years I’ve lived at the , I’ve loved shoveling snow. It reminds me of snowstorms growing up in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a true blizzard, and this morning I was granted a rare opportunity to tackle the 19 inches of snow that were falling, with wind gusts up to 47 mph. I wanted to see the snow-covered house, trees, and sidewalk before clearing it, so stepped into the deserted street—the footprint bottom center—and captured our neighbor Maria crossing our house to head to Stuyvesant Park, before deciding that the winds were too strong. Thankful for a warm home to return to after getting soaked while shoveling. Stay safe out there.
