We don’t just show up to a beach with a woman standing there with a camera feeling confident to be photographed. That’s not how humans work.

We get in our heads.
We want everything to be perfect.
We feel shy. We feel private.

There is always a natural warm-up period.

This session was the sweetest example of that with the kids. At first they needed cuddles from mom and dad. Everyone quietly watched what I was doing, slowly figuring out what was expected of them.

And then the moment always comes when they realize…

I’m not asking them to perform.

I’m just asking them to play.

But to cuddle.
To explore.
To be themselves.

What began with quiet, tender cuddles and soft whispers slowly turned into seashell hunting, crab discoveries, dancing, running, and piggyback rides.

And moments like this are why I love what I do so much.

Later today I’ll be starting the year with a family of three session for a couple whose engagement I photographed on these very same sands many moons ago… Cape May beach.

Tell me something more full circle than that.

My career is so beyond special. 🥹

🏝️ Island-hopping elopements just hit different.

Jenn & Zach spent their day exploring Thailand’s coves, lagoons, and cliff lines with their own private long-tail boats. Every moment was intentionally mapped out through my bespoke photo-planning process.

This isn’t a “show up and hope for magic” kind of day.
This is a fully curated adventure with location scouting, custom timelines, and a la carte add-ins like video, underwater or drone coverage, and iPhone BTS.

Your wedding can be a day that moves, explores, breathes, and unfolds like the story you’re choosing to write together.

Michala and Kyle’s autumn waterfall engagement session in the Pocono Mountains ✨🍁😍

I loved the little pocket of light we found tucked inside a tunnel of natural greenery along the trail to the falls. The canopy created such a cinematic contrast to the soft, overcast glow of the day — a quiet bit of magic that wrapped around these two so effortlessly.
Bare feet in the water, soft laughter, and the easiest kind of love to photograph. 🤍

📸🌎 As a photography business owner, my work has always blended with my play. You’d catch me DEAD without my cameras while I am traveling. I have seen some truly MAGICAL places on this planet and couldn’t leave without documenting each one!

🎞️ Photo One: Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Floating on the lagoon are countless icebergs that have broken off the resident glacier, creating an ever-changing scenery of incredible beauty. The river Jokulsa connects the lagoon to the Atlantic Ocean, meaning that these icebergs eventually drift out to sea, where they are polished by the waves before floating back to the black sands of Diamond Beach.

🎞️ Photo Two: Diamond Beach. The name ‘Diamond Beach’ comes from the white ice on the black sand, which appears like gemstones or diamonds, as they often glisten in the sun. The icebergs on the Diamond Beach come from the nearby Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where chunks of ice break off from the glacier and float out to sea. The icebergs eventually wash up on the shore, where they are sculpted by the waves and tides.

🚙 For those who want to see these beauties for themselves, this magnificent earthly phenomenon is located on the South Coast of Iceland. Diamond Beach and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon can both be accessed from the Ring Road by those who rent a car.
