Class was in session.
But this time, the lesson wasn’t theory — it was rhythm, faith, story and some puff puff lol

No stage. No spotlight.
Just Asake, God, and legacy.

He spoke about sound like it was a language only God could teach.
About parents who planted seeds, and friends who helped water them.

It reminded me how divine timing moves — how sometimes you don’t chase the moment, you meet it.

I walked out of that room with a deeper love for Asake..
not just the artist, but the man anchored in his purpose with God backing him.

I had a chance to photograph , the founder of , back in late September at the Lagos Summit here in New York. Watching how she brings color, texture, and storytelling to life through her designs is honestly something special.

Fast forward to last week at Lagos Fashion Week, and seeing her latest collection left me in complete awe. Every look carried its own story — from the beadwork to the feathers — all flowing with identity, elegance, and strength.

So proud of her and everyone else who continues to elevate the standard of African luxury.

Next year, I shall be there hehehehe 🤞🏾
