I am excited to let you know that for the month of August, one of my favorite pastel paintings,“WAVE”, will be included in an exhibition hosted by the Freeport Memorial Library featuring incredible artwork of Long Island Black Artist Association members. You are invited to join us for the Artist's Reception on Thursday, August 14th, from 6 PM to 8 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow art lovers, explore diverse artistic expressions, and enjoy an evening filled with creativity. The event is free and open to the public. On Sunday, February 2nd, the Westbury Arts Gallery unveiled an exhibition titled "The Essence of Soul," showcasing the artistic contributions of African American visual artists in honor of Black History Month. Curated by Marcia Odle McNair, the exhibition features a collection of works, including four vintage photographs by guest artist Anthony Barboza, a world-renowned photographer, painter, writer, and historian. The exhibit will be on display throughout February and will close on March 14th.
