I fell in love with photography in the darkroom.

Watching an image slowly appear in developer trays felt like magic to me then — and honestly, it still does.

I learned photography through making my own silver gelatin prints by hand, obsessing over contrast, light, texture, and tone. That process shaped the way I see black & white images today.

Now my darkroom is digital, but the intention is still the same: creating photographs that feel timeless, tactile, and alive beyond a screen.

And for anyone who loves the craft as much as I do — silver gelatin prints are still available. Some images just belong on real paper.

From downtown for the ceremony at City Hall to Central Park, these two kept cool. 😎

Which was harder than it looked being almost 90! In April! However, it brought out the cherry blossoms a bit earlier than usual. 🌸

Always get the bouquet.

Even for an elopement—it adds movement, color, and a sense of intention to your photos. It’s often the one detail that instantly says “this is a wedding” (if that’s the vibe you want). No boutonniere needed.

The clients brought this gorgeous bouquet from Boston. However, there are many great designers in NYC and I’m always sharing the list of my favorite vendors.

This is a full-day NYC elopement from last June—intentionally planned so nothing felt rushed, crowded, or chaotic. Just space to breathe, explore, and be fully present in every moment.

Here’s the timeline we built together:

9:30 — Getting ready at Bryant Park Hotel
10:00 — First look in the hotel bar
10:30 — Ceremony at the New York Public Library
11:00 — Central Park (The Mall + Bethesda Terrace & Fountain)
12:30 — Grand Central + The Campbell
2:00 — Head to DUMBO (with real NYC traffic buffer time built in)
3:00 — Brooklyn Heights + DUMBO portraits
5:30 — Dinner at The River Café

What you don’t see here is just as important—
buffer time, crowd flow, travel logistics, lighting considerations, and backup plans… all built in so the day unfolds naturally.

There’s something about this place that just stays with you ✈️✨

I photographed a gala at the TWA Hotel and haven’t stopped thinking about shooting here again. The light, the curves, the symmetry—it’s a dream if you love bold design and clean lines.

It feels cinematic without trying. Every frame just works.

A little history: The space was originally the TWA Flight Center, designed by Eero Saarinen and opened in 1962—now beautifully restored as one of the most iconic architectural spaces in New York City.

From the Lower East Side to all over Manhattan, nothing hits like that first bite of an NYC slice after “I do.” No reservations, no fuss—just love, laughter, and a perfectly greasy slice in wedding attire. And this week, we’re taking it uptown to a retro spot near Central Park… because honestly, the best wedding meals don’t always come with a seating chart.
