Not only do I believe in documenting life…I also UNDERSTAND the need for a mom to have someone else running the show, when it comes to family photos .😆 I tried to use the self timer on our Idaho trip . Steven was in a mood, Johnny was all in, Nick was go with the flow.

We had attempted this the day before and it started to pour. We had to pack it up and head back to our RV.

Over the years I’ve tried to plan pics and it just didn’t work out on our vacations, especially in Glamis. Having to pry three dirty kids off their quads, convince the husband to give up a sunset ride, change and sit for photos just wasn’t in the cards. I kind of gave up trying. If the stars aligned, right place, right time, clothes somewhat matching and everyone in a decent mood… then maybe it could work.

Now that the kids are older it is getting easier but still…all it takes is one wrong move and one kid starts throwing blows! I’ll post some of our photos soon! 🎬

Years of military service, mission trips, and moves across the world shaped this family’s story. 🌍 They’ve built a beautiful legacy—now with grown children, one starting a family of his own, and a precious little girl who stole every heart. Coming home for the holidays meant laughter, nostalgia, and siblings slipping right back into being kids with mom and dad. Surrounded by sun-soaked citrus groves and old California charm, this historic state park was the perfect backdrop.
