The countdown is officially on. 🍂🤎

Our most-loved sessions of the year are almost here.

Fall Minis open for booking on Thursday, July 17 at 8:00 AM, and if you’ve been around for a while, you already know… these don’t stick around for long. Most years they’re completely gone within a day.

Picture your little ones picking apples, cozy sweaters, golden evening light, belly laughs, and the kind of images that become the ones you pull out every autumn.

🤎 🍎 Cozy orchard evenings
🍁 ✨ Golden light & changing leaves

Set your alarm. Tell your sister. Text your best friend.

There will be three different options this year!!! I cant wait for you to see!!!

I’ll see you Thursday, July 17 at 8:00 AM and I have a feeling this is going to be my favorite fall season yet.

June, you were good to me.

This month felt like a deep breath after a long season.

A trip out West reminded me who I am. Somewhere between the mountains, the quiet mornings, and wide open skies, I felt parts of myself come back to life. It was exactly what my heart needed.

We celebrated Kaden graduating, surrounded by the people who have loved him every step of the way. Watching your child reach a milestone like that is something you never quite have words for.

We celebrated David’s birthday, filled the house with family, and made more memories around the table.

My sister came up from Alabama, and we squeezed every bit out of summer together. Hikes, lake days, an Indiana beach trip, late conversations, and laughing until our cheeks hurt. Those are the kinds of days I hope I never forget.

And in between all of that… I got to do what I love.

So many branding sessions with incredible women building beautiful businesses. So many family evenings at the beach, watching kids run barefoot through the sand while parents held each other a little tighter as the sun disappeared.

June reminded me that a full life isn’t just about staying busy. It’s about making room for the people you love, the work that fills your soul, and the moments that quietly become the ones you’ll treasure forever.

Here’s to carrying that feeling into July. 🤍

If you grew up in the ’90s, you know this feeling.

Sun-kissed shoulders.
Bare feet that never seemed to stay clean.
Wet hair that smelled like lake water.
The sound of cicadas when the sun started to set.
And not a single photo was perfectly posed.

Just summer… exactly as it was.

Maybe that’s why I’m drawn to creating images that feel like memories instead of moments. The kind that bring you right back years from now, to the feeling more than the place.

Here’s to long summer days, messy adventures, and making the kind of memories our kids will one day cherish. 🍉

Photography has taught me that the most beautiful moments are almost never the loud ones.

They’re in the way tiny fingers reach for mom’s hand.
The wind catching a little girl’s dress.
A quiet glance between two people who have loved each other for years.
Bare feet in the sand.
The way your child looks back just to make sure you’re still there.

My job isn’t just taking pictures.

It’s slowing down long enough to notice what most people rush right past.

Because those little, ordinary moments?
They’re the ones that become priceless.

Maybe that’s the real art of photography.
Not posing.
Not perfection.

Just noticing.

And reminding you that your life has been beautiful all along.

Some of my favorite moments are the ones that happen in between.

The tiny hand reaching for Mom without thinking.
The way he lights up the second she laughs.
The sandy footprints.
The wind in her hair.
The quiet little glances that say, “This is my safe place.”

These aren’t poses.
They’re the moments that become memories.

One day, Dawson won’t fit so perfectly on his mama’s hip. The morning will look different. The beach will still be there, but this season won’t.

That’s why I photograph the little things.

Because they’re never really little at all. 🤍

Women-Owned Wednesday ✨

This week, I’m celebrating one of my favorite women, Sami, the heart behind Ella Jayms Boutique.

Sami has a way of making everyone who walks through her doors feel welcome. She’s kind, incredibly talented, and has such an eye for style. She doesn’t just curate beautiful clothes. She helps women feel confident in them.

One of the things I admire most about her is how deeply she loves this community. She celebrates other small businesses, cheers people on, and pours so much of herself into everything she does.

If you’re looking for timeless, chic pieces you’ll reach for again and again, Ella Jayms is one of those places that just gets it. Beautiful staples, thoughtful style, and a whole lot of heart.

Supporting women like Sami is one of my favorite parts of what I do. Here’s to building each other up, celebrating big dreams, and choosing community every single time. 🤍

There’s something about this time of year that just feels made for family photos.

The sun stays out a little longer, which means those dreamy golden hour sessions fit into real life a whole lot easier. The kids are home from school with sandy feet and sun-kissed cheeks, and the beaches are at their absolute prettiest.

These are the evenings you’ll want to remember. The laughter, the bare feet, the wind in your hair, and the way your little ones reach for your hand without even thinking.

If you’ve been waiting for the “right time,” this is it. Let’s make the most of these long summer nights before they slip away. 🤍
