“It was an accident, kind of.”

John called Chef Wilki asking about a different chef. Wilki mentioned he’d left his job four days earlier. John asked if he could have him instead.

Chef Christian Wilki spent nearly a decade at The Cottage in Westport. John Nealon runs Crust Issues , home of mozzarella sticks and CT’s best pan pizza.

Now he’s cooking the Crust Issues supper club — 8 courses $40, menu changes every week, house wine and beer.

It is the exact same casual, kid-friendly dining experience you already know and love, but infused with a massive new wave of creative energy. You get all the curation of a high-end tasting menu, completely entirely minus the pretense.
