TripleScope Aerial, LLC is proud to announce our official certification as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) by the U.S. Small Business Administration. This certification reflects our commitment to professionalism, integrity, and aviation-grade standards in every mission we fly. If your business needs aerial inspections, thermal imaging, construction documentation, or mapping services — let's talk.

Drones are limited to 400ft. AGL (above ground level) at all times, right?

Not necessarily!

If an obstacle is in my drone's flight path, I can legally climb higher than 400ft to get around it!

As a licensed operator, knowing the rules is crucial to staying safe, legal and professional!

06/15/2026

🚨 Most drone pilots don't know this rule exists.
Since March 2024, the FAA requires nearly every drone in the U.S. to broadcast Remote ID — a digital license plate transmitting your location and flight data in real time.
Not just commercial operators. Not just big drones. Almost everyone.
No Remote ID? You're either adding a broadcast module or you're limited to one of the very few FAA-designated FRIA zones. Flying without it isn't a gray area — it's a federal violation.
Every mission I fly is fully compliant. That's what separates a professional from a hobbyist.

"Verify airspace? Just fly the drone and be done with it!"

A common misconception I hear is that commercial drone operators can just launch and fly wherever a project demands. I wish it were that simple!

When clients reach out for services—whether it's mapping the topography of a property, flying an IR route, or doing an inspection—the very first thing I have to check isn't the weather; it's the airspace.

As a licensed operator, I am bound by strict FAA regulations to keep the skies safe. This graphic is a great visual of what we navigate behind the scenes before the drone ever leaves the ground:

🟩 Class G (Uncontrolled): Good to go! No special ATC authorization is needed here.
🟧 Class B, C, D, E (Controlled): I can often still fly these jobs, but I have to file for official FAA authorization first, which can dictate exactly how high I'm allowed to operate.
🟥 No Drone Zones / TFRs: Strict no-fly zones (like VIP movements or emergency disaster areas).

So, if I ever have to tell you that I need extra time to pull authorizations, or if I have to turn down a specific flight path entirely, this is why! Doing things by the book keeps the operation safe, legal, and professional.

🏗️ Every time someone climbs a ladder for a roof inspection, someone's insurance policy is quietly holding its breath.

A drone does the same inspection in 15 minutes — from every angle, with 4K stills and thermal imaging that catches moisture intrusion you can't see from the ground. No ladders. No liability.

Know a contractor who'd benefit from this? Tag them below!

🎯 Three aircraft. Three capabilities. One company that actually knows how to use them.

DJI Mavic 3 Classic — cinematic 4K aerial photography and video for real estate, events, and marketing. The camera that makes properties look like a magazine cover.

DJI Matrice 4T — enterprise-grade thermal imaging with a 48-megapixel visual camera. This is the drone that finds a moisture problem at 200 feet or an electrical hot spot you'd never see with the naked eye. The same class of system used by fire departments and utility companies.

DJI Neo 2 FPV — cinematic first-person-view drone for interior and exterior tours. If you've ever watched a real estate video and thought "that felt like a movie," this is how they did it.

Most drone operators have one drone. I have the right tool for every job.

✅ FAA Part 107 Certified — that's the federal baseline to legally fly commercially. I didn't stop there.

✅ AUVSI Trusted Operator Protocol — Level 1, Level 2, AND Level 3. That's the highest voluntary certification in the commercial drone industry. It means documented training, rigorous evaluation, and the credentials to train other pilots.

✅ 20 years of Naval Aviation experience. Because flying in one of the world's most demanding environments has a way of sharpening your judgment.

When you hire TripleScope Aerial, you're not just hiring a drone operator. You're hiring a professional aviator who happens to fly very small aircraft now.

At TripleScope Aerial, I'm not just a "guy with a drone".
I have experience. I have certifications. I have what others don't.

Navy aviation teaches you a few things.

Check the weather. Then check it again. Pre-flight like your life depends on it — because it does. Brief the mission. Fly the mission. Debrief the mission. No shortcuts. No excuses.

That's the exact same mindset I bring to every TripleScope Aerial flight. Whether it's a $2M waterfront listing or a commercial roof that needs thermal inspection before the next rainstorm — you get military-grade discipline at civilian-friendly pricing.

Your project isn't a hobby to me. It's a mission.
