July 4th, 2026 - Celebrating USA 250th!
Macy’s Fireworks Show, NYC
East River, NYC

This year, I decided to try something different- so I booked a ferry ride to see the special fireworks show for USA’s 250th birthday! Booked Seastreak Ferry out of Belford. Invited my friend Paige to come along. Trust me… I questioned myself bc I won’t be able to do any long exposures on the boat. But I decided I wanted to see the fireworks and will try to get some shots. It will definitely be a challenge to photograph but challenge accepted. Here are my top 20 shots that captured the amazing energy, and show in the East River. It was phenomenal… and so beautiful. There were fireworks everywhere, on the Brooklyn Bridge, in front of us, behind us. What a fantastic night and I was lucky to share the experience with Paige Dana .

“Chasing Light on the Pulse of Madrid”

If you want to feel the true heartbeat of Madrid, you go to Gran Vía. But if you want to capture it, you have to be patient.

For this cityscape shot, a group of us photographers lined up our tripods, side-by-side, commanding a sliver of the sidewalk. We stood there as the daylight began to fade, waiting for that magical blue hour crossover when the historic building lights sparkled to life and the headlights turned into ribbons of neon.

There’s nothing quite like the collective buzz of waiting with fellow creators for the perfect long exposure—holding your breath for a few seconds while the shutter is open, hoping the traffic flows just right.

This is Madrid in motion: historic architecture met by the beautiful chaos of modern city life.

Temple of Debod, Madrid Spain

“When Plans Fade, Light Remains – Temple of Debod”

Not every moment unfolds as planned—but sometimes, that’s where the magic lives. This sunset photograph of the Temple of Debod captures golden light pouring through ancient stone, revealing beauty beyond expectation. A quiet reminder that even without reflection, there is still brilliance to be found.

I arrived at the Temple of Debod with a clear vision in mind—still water, soft reflections, and the quiet glow of sunset melting into blue hour. I had imagined the temple mirrored perfectly beneath the sky, a scene I had carefully planned and waited for.

But when I got there, the water was gone.
The reflecting pools were empty, and with them, the image I had built in my mind. For a moment, I felt that familiar disappointment—the kind that whispers you’ve missed your chance. I stood there, unsure, caught between leaving and trying to see something new.

So I stayed.

As the sun began to dip lower, golden light poured through the ancient stone doorway, illuminating the temple in a way I hadn’t expected. The absence of water shifted everything—what I lost in reflection, I gained in texture, shadow, and depth. The scene became something more grounded, more real… more honest.

I moved slowly, adjusting my perspective, watching how the light wrapped around the stone, until it aligned perfectly—just for a moment—before fading away.

This photograph is a reminder that not every plan unfolds the way we hope. But sometimes, when we let go of what we expected, we discover something even more meaningful.
I hope this image encourages you to embrace life’s unexpected turns—and trust that even without reflection, there is still light worth capturing.
