Preschool pictures are in full force for the month of April!
We had THREE rain days this week which forced us inside at this particular school, BUT the images turned out fabulous and I can’t wait for the parents to view the finished results!!

Want to start a business and have it be successful???

I'm convinced that ALL you need to do is ONE thing!!

BE RESPONSIBLE!!

MOST of the school photography business that I receive is NOT because I'm a better photographer! I mostly acquire business because the PREVIOUS photographer was irresponsible! Oh the stories I've heard from some of my schools about their previous photography company!

CALL, TEXT or EMAIL clients back within 24 hours.
DO what you SAY you are going to do!!
Do NOT tell someone you will be there at a certain time and then NOT show up. And do NOT run late! Arrive EARLY!!
COMMUNICATE COMMUNICATE COMMUNICATE!!
TREAT others as YOU would want to be treated!
BE CONSISTENT WITH YOUR ACTIONS!!
Your clients will forgive you for one small mess up, but if you are consistently irresponsible, forget it, your business will fail soon!

I was so guilty of NOT being responsible in my younger years, but the older I get the more I realize that THIS is how a successful business is ran.

IF I fail in any of these areas you better believe I'm going to apologize profusely because this is NOT how I want my business to be perceived. Your REPUTATION is so important!!

Ironically I’m “shooting” from the 3 point line just like I did in high school except obviously I’m over the line.

And Santa has been in the paint for way more than three seconds! Ha!

The last time I made a 3 pointer was in 1989.

Basketball is literally the only thing I truly miss about the high school years!

The moment.
We say we won't forget it.
We close our eyes and try to burn it into our memory.
And we do, for awhile.
But time is a giant eraser and no matter how hard we try to hold on to the memory,
time has a way of blurring the details until it becomes just a shadow of what it once was.
But the minute you hold a photograph, it all comes rushing back: the sights, the smells, the sounds…
And we marvel that one piece of paper can hold so much.
