RACING INTO KINDER 😎🚦🏁🏎️💨

Our sweet, big-little-guy is so excited to start KINDERGARTEN today!! He looks like such a big boy sitting in his new desk… I have to admit that I totally got emotional there for a second and started tearing up. My mind just saw my baby crawling towards me... how does that happen??? 🥹 😭

All the flashcards, puzzles, posters, repeated lessons and alllll.the.questions led to this sweet boy being accepted into one of the best schools. The amount of opportunities that this school is going to bring to our son is AMAZING. I am so proud of our boy and what a hard worker he already is. I'm looking forward to watching him grow this year!! 🌱

For a little girl who loves snacking, what better photoshoot than to let her do just that... snack!!! 🍓🍊🍎🫐🍇🍉✨

Sometimes as parents, I think we forget to consider our child's personality and individual needs. My daughter LOVES snacking as a pastime and activities that require more emotional or mental stimulation. My son, almost the opposite. He needs play, physical activity, and innovative play.

When I was thinking of a photoshoot for my daughter, I kept coming up with all these ideas that I loved for ME. But then I thought, she's not going to LOVE all that. So, I shifted. I bought a cute umbrella that I knew she would love, found a basket, and decided she was going to get exactly what she dreams and asks for allllll the time... FRUIT!!
Effortless, kid-styled Parisian snack photoshoot was it 🌟

And guess what?? She LOVED it!!! We took a few photos then I said GOFORIT. Omg was she thrilled. She ate practically all of it, too!! 😂

Just goes to show what fun you can have when you tailor a photoshoot to the needs of the CHILD, not the mama. And I love all the photos bc she is happy. Of course, such a beauty, too. 🥰💕

Bc we're living for today but tomorrow we forget too easily. Make time to take the photos. It's worth it. 🤎

I NEVER post these talking videos bc - quite frankly, they scare me. 🙈

But. That's what life is about right? Becoming 1% better everyday and doing something that scares the life out of you... right?? ⚡️

Anywho. I hope my kids look back on photos we've taken and get all misty bc they can still feel the love and reminiscence on the good times they had with us. Those photos will be passed down to showcase our family legacy.

This is what life is about. Being part of someone's legacy journey through an opportunity to provide photos that will be passed down for years to come. That's the heart behind the lens for me - showcasing someone's love that was captured in a fraction of a second is the goal. ✨

Rest. It takes true discipline to REST. And I'm finding I need more of it... 🫶🏼

This is so against what every creator is told to do. We're told to do MORE; produce MORE, create MORE, book MORE... w - what I'm finding is that it's just more. Does more equate to a quality of life we need? Or is it just more?

Carving out time to rest is just as much of a discipline as consistency is.
