Valley of the Gods ๐๏ธ
Most people think this is Monument Valley but itโs actually one of Utahโs best-kept secrets.
Tucked in southeastern Utah near Monument Valley, this place is a 17-mile dirt loop road carved through massive sandstone buttes, spires, and desert towers that feel untouched by time ๐
Itโs not a national park, itโs public BLM land, meaning:
โข No entrance fee ๐ธ
โข No gates ๐บ๏ธ
โข No crowds ๐๐ผ
โข No services (you are fully on your own) โบ๏ธ
The drive takes about 1โ2 hours, but youโll want to stop constantly, every turn looks unreal!
Getting here is part of the adventure:
โข From Hwy 163 (near Mexican Hat) or Hwy 261 ๐
โข 45 min from Monument Valley
โข Dirt road (usually fine when dry, but can get rough or impassable when wet ๐ง๏ธ)
There are no marked trails, no viewpoints, you just pull off anywhere and explore on foot ๐ฅพ
Itโs one of those rare places where you donโt follow a pathโฆ you just create your own, itโs so epic!
Save this for your next road trip ๐บ๏ธ
Or send it to someone youโd disappear into the desert with ๐๏ธ
