Kevin's Scenic Photography Photography, for me, is a way to slow down and really notice the world—to pause it just long enough to feel its magic.

And if I can share even a little of that with others, that’s the real reward. My photography journey didn’t begin with expensive gear—it started with a smartphone, a dose of curiosity, and a willingness to tromp around until something beautiful showed up. In 2018, I began noticing what my phone’s camera could actually do, and that quiet discovery lit a creative spark. But it was the frozen stillne

ss of Utah Lake in 2020 that really pulled me in. Since then, I’ve been out exploring several times a week—capturing light, weather, and wildlife wherever I can find it.

I saw an beautiful post of a flower by an amazing photographer and she shared the video that inspired it. It really changed my hike and how I viewed my shots (for the better I hope). I need to improve my technique, but here is one that I would normally have tried to get everything in focus, this time, I did macro with my lens open as far as I could (5.6). Really love the new effect and looking at things differently.
