Hello! My name is Jacqueline. I adore nature and I started my business so that I could create art that teaches about nature. I love creating and do so in many mediums. I am most inspired by natural cycles, seasonal changes and the study of ecology.
I enjoy printmaking and spend a lot of time carving designs and printing them onto different materials. I enjoy painting still life and nature from memory. I enjoy photography and capturing the essence of my subjects. Sewing is a skill that I like to craft with and I try to sculpt on occasion.
I’m on a journey. I feel like I’m here to make art that communicates the scientific processes of nature, to display a nexus between our feelings and the places we love, and to study natural cycles and convey them through my art.
The next year for me is going to look like science camp. I’m pushing myself further in my art and my studies so that I can bring you engaging pieces that connect you to nature. I want to teach you about the groupings, cycles and habitats surrounding us. It’s something I’m entirely passionate about and I hope that you are too.
I feel that there is a relatively undiscussed unison between the arts and sciences and I personally want to spend my time delving deep into that nexus. I’m practicing letting my creativity flow through me like a river. I’m hoping that what I leave behind will be nuggets of visual information and joy that spark passion to engage with nature, conserve, preserve and respect it. Protect it. To pull principles and theories from it to understand our own lives more fully and to engage in the evolution of natural processes to implement sustainable practices.
Im happy to be on this path wherever it takes me.
