✨ Hey beautiful people, it’s been a minute... ✨ Life’s a wild ride, ain’t it? Sometimes it’s hard, sometimes it’s amazing, and sometimes you blink, and three weeks have passed. Social media feels like an abyss for me—one scroll turns into a thousand, so I’ve been keeping my distance. But today I want to say hi and show you what I’ve been up to!
I’ve been diving into a mix of abstract and still-life painting lately. Still life? Yep, I’ve officially stepped out of my comfort zone to shake things up and learn new skills. I’m excited to embrace these creative challenges, even if the results aren’t always perfect. It’s a good reminder that we don’t have to crush 24/7—it’s about showing up and trying. Bonus: I’ve got an incredible teacher and mentor who keeps me inspired.
Last month’s excitement? Teaching a cyanotype workshop to some high school students! The cyanotypes you see at the end belong to the students I had the opportunity to teach. Most of them were so curious and excited—it was awesome to see their creativity spark in real time.
Oh, and a little personal milestone: 33 years old and almost 6 years sober. I rarely post about my sobriety dates, but I want to acknowledge it because, honestly, it still feels surreal to me. I’m truly grateful for my life, everyone in it, and every moment—even if mornings are still totally intolerable for me. Haha.

As we all have lately, I’ve been caught up in life and the chaos it brings. Sure, we love a challenge, but perhaps in smaller doses. However, I’ve learned to manage my stress in a way that turns it into a positive. Learning new life skills and lessons feels surprisingly rewarding too. Oh, and here are some recent cyanotypes!
