I always said I didn’t want kids. For a long time, I thought it was because I was selfish. But the truth is, I never felt worthy of being a mother. I didn’t think I had those motherly qualities in me. Babies were (and still are) the most precious and fragile gifts on this earth. I used to wonder, who am I to even hold one? I was afraid of holding babies, afraid of doing something wrong.

And yet, here I am. In the most unexpected, yet somehow expected, season of my life. A position that has surprised everyone, including myself. Soon I'll be caring for, nurturing, and protecting one of God's greatest blessings. It's a responsibility that feels both overwhelming and sacred.

I’m nervous. But more than that, I’m grateful. Because somehow, God saw something in me that I couldn’t see in myself.

Qué admirable mujer! Siempre dando y sin pedir nada a cambio, trabajadora, madre amorosa, creativa y compasiva. Una de las muchas cosas que me ha enseñado es a no regalar nunca cosas que no quieres, sino cosas que amas. Porque, ¿por qué regalarías algo que no tiene significado para ti? Dios siempre bendice a quienes dan con significado. 🫶🏽 Ese es el amor de Dios.

No existen palabras suficientes para agradecerte todo lo que has hecho por mí. Gracias por cada sacrificio, cada consejo, cada abrazo y cada momento en el que estuviste incluso cuando nadie más estaba.
