It’s what makes FL so sweet!

Easter may be in April, BUT it’ll be here before you know it. So this weekend we are doing some mini sessions with some sweet little bunnies!

I’ve been taking this sweet girl’s pictures since she was just a few days old and her family has been such a precious part of my photography life for the last 7-8 years.
She was recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes - so if you so feel called join Ella’s sunshine squad 💕

It’s time for a change 🕰️

I’ve gotten so MIA posting on this account.

Not because I’m not working and taking pictures. But because man life looks different than it did when we were booking what felt like a million sessions a month in TN and I created this account.

When we moved to Florida - 2.5 years ago 🤯 - I had no idea what life/work/photography would look like and honestly never would have even guessed the trajectory it took. While Florida is the sunshine state it definitely hasn’t been all sunny. 😅☀️

BUT a few grief incidences, frustrating autoimmune diagnoses and lots and lots of prayer and asking “What do I do God?!” I’ve learned a lot about time well spent and realized that doing what I love doesn’t have to look the same as everyone else or the way it’s looked for the last 15 years!

So - am I still taking pictures? YES! YES YES! I’ll take pictures of my people until they stop booking. Is that all I’m doing? Nope - it’s probably what I’m doing the least. 😆

I’m painting.
I’m drawing on walls.
I’m sewing custom outfits for people.
I’m creating other random art pieces out of thrifted “trash”
Oh and being a super quirky homeschool mom.

So if you’re here for just the pictures - this account might not be for you anymore. And that’s okay - thank you for the love you shared all these years. I’ve decided to share less client picture work because I don’t like how people {strangers and AI} misuse images - I hardly share my own kids so I don’t feel right sharing others on such a public platform. And I’ve always guarded my followers list CAREFULLY deleting people who have no reason to be here.

✨word of mouth never let me down so I’m going to let it do its thing even if that means Kate Brent does less photography. ✨

I’ll be merging this account with my .kate.sew account so you’ll notice a name change/plus more quirky sewing stuff. 🪡
