I have spent most of my life living and exploring the wonderful state of North Carolina. I picked up a camera a few years ago and really started to capture beautiful landscapes around eastern North Carolina. I started off like a lot of people going after sunrises and sunsets which I turn into works of art. I begin to shoot other things like wildlife, flowers, and even have started to capture the m

oments of people through portraits.On a more personal level, I am a husband to a great wife who has been by my side through sickness and health. We have two young children which both them being boys, which the most wonderful gifts to me most of the time. With camera in my hand, I see the world through my viewfinder. The passion of photography I have pushes me to better my skills as a photographer.

Went to Lake Mattamuskeet yesterday after having Christmas the family. It was a bright and sunny afternoon, not many birds flying around the impound while I was there. I did find this blue heron looking for its next meal of the day in the edge of a canal. I loved the reflection of it in water. Hopefully everyone enjoyed their Christmas day as much I did. Have great New Years!

Took some me time yesterday to relax after working the night before. Made a quick trip around the refuge and while the wildlife was wanting their pictures taken or were playing a good game of hiding go seek, I did manage to find other things to photograph. One of those items was this wasp nest hanging off a twig over a canal. Click on the picture to enjoy a better view!
