The Touch - June 24, 1984. Our very first paying gig. The club was, ‘Steppin’ Out’ in Commack, NY. We opened for another band (can’t recall the name). We split the door ($2 cover) and walked away with $28, which we promptly spent on burgers at the diner across the street. Doing what you love, and actually making enough $$ to pay for dinner for the whole band, was the greatest thing in the world.
