My father sent me this reflection, he said “you’re not turning 65 but it applies”; he sure was right đŸ€
Thank you Lord for another year đŸ€

This piece was created as a memorial for a mother who had passed away. Her daughter finds comfort in cardinals—a beautiful reminder of her mom and the love that remains even after someone is gone.

My friend, Viviana Eskenazi commissioned this piece as a gift for her, and together we thoughtfully planned the composition: a mother cardinal with her baby, symbolizing the bond between a mother and child and the memories that continue to live on.

As I painted each detail, I kept thinking about how art can tell a story when words sometimes aren’t enough.

It was an honor to create something so personal; something meant to bring comfort, remembrance, and a little piece of love đŸ€.

Mini hand-made, hand-painted clay rocks đŸ€
Each one is stamped with “LOVED” and a little heart — a small reminder that we are loved and perfectly made.

3–4 inches wide, easel included.

These were so nice to make, and I loved seeing them go to new homes đŸ€

I can also make these custom; pick your colors, and:or design.

A few are still available, or DM me to place a custom order đŸ€

When I moved to Asheville after Hurricane Helene, I expected recovery would take time. What I didn’t expect was that nearly two years later, so many places would still be waiting.

Over the past several months, I’ve driven roads lined with damaged infrastructure, passed businesses that never reopened, and wondered about the people whose lives were forever changed by the storm.

As a photographer, I initially couldn’t bring myself to document the devastation. The emotions were simply too overwhelming. But eventually, I realized that perhaps the best way I could contribute was by using my camera and my words to help tell these stories.

“Have These Places Been Forgotten?” is a 4-minutes read photo essay that explores some of the overlooked corners of Western North Carolina that continue to bear the scars of Hurricane Helene.

My hope is not to focus solely on what was lost, but to encourage awareness, conversation, and continued support for communities still recovering.

If you know of a location, business, family, or recovery effort whose story deserves to be shared, I would love to hear from you.

I pressed these flowers a while ago, and I finally took them out of the book where they were drying and organized them into this binder đŸƒđŸŒžđŸ€

I can’t wait to start creating with them—I have so many ideas!
