Sometimes, as photographers, we forget just how much courage it takes to step in front of the camera.
Recently, I asked my friend Krista to do a photo shoot with me. Now, let me tell you—this woman is absolutely stunning. She walks into a room and owns it. But when it came time to be the one in front of the lens, she was nervous. Really nervous.
And honestly? That's completely normal.
Being photographed can feel vulnerable. You're stepping outside your comfort zone, trusting someone else to capture you, and trying to quiet that little voice in your head that wants to point out every flaw. It takes guts.
But Krista did what queens do—she showed up anyway.
She dug deep, pushed past the fear, embraced her power, and absolutely SLAYED her session. Watching her confidence grow with every click of the camera was such a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do.
The truth is, confidence doesn't always walk into the room with you. Sometimes confidence is built one brave step at a time. One pose. One smile. One photo.
So thank you, Krista, for reminding me that courage isn't about not being scared—it's about showing up anyway. And now that she's conquered her first empowerment session, I already know she's going to walk into the next one even stronger, even bolder, and even more unstoppable.
Here's to celebrating ourselves, stepping outside our comfort zones, and discovering just how powerful we really are. ✨👑
I love you girl,
Xoxo your kitty kat girl!
