In 2024, I began chasing my dream of getting more connected to the sport I loved through photography. Over the last year, I’ve gone from cell phone pics in the grandstands to DSLR and some opportunities in the infield. Really bummed that rain took away the chance to give Peoria Speedway a proper send-off. For the past 5 years the speedway was my home away from home on Saturday nights. Last year from the top of the frontstretch grandstands that I started taking pictures. Over the last 5 years I've met a lot of awesome people there, and made a ton of memories. I really hope someone steps in and keeps the racing going, but if not I want to thank all the volunteers, drivers, and fans that made Peoria Speedway the place to be on Saturday nights during the summer.
