In celebrating Black History Month and Women's History Month, I wanted to merge the two and highlight the beauty of black femininity through, what started as inspiration for unique deep brown monochrome portraits. It evolved into a powerful yet soft display of identity and culture, pulling in some light warm tones that really unintentionally accentuated femininity. By giving my models creative control, they made each shot their own. 🤎🤎📸💕

I used to be sooo scared to share my creative self portraits when I was a pre-teen. I started photography at 12, using my iPad propping it up on a stack of books to use as a tripod, with the cameras self timer on to practice photography. I had my step sister model for me, and I wouldn't have ever dared to share this account with my "irls". I didn't think a career in photography was possible, but by following () at just 12, I was inspired to create. I recently went to a junior high to share my story and to let students know, that like I was at their age, it is possible and that you just need to stick to what you are passionate about and see how far that takes you. 💕💕💕
