Yes, I feel a little weird posting this many pictures of myself. 😂

But I want my clients to feel comfortable with me and truly get to know the person behind the camera. The real, messy, hardworking, loving, and slightly chaotic version of me. 🤍

I feel incredibly lucky to have people in my life who see me the way they do, and even more grateful for every family, couple, and client who trusts me to capture their biggest moments.

Why did I get a little emotional knowing the very first newborn I ever photographed is already scheduling her ONE YEAR photos?! 😭

Feeling so thankful I got to capture this sweet girl’s 6-month milestone, and I can’t wait to celebrate her first birthday behind my camera too. Watching these little ones grow is one of the greatest parts! 🥹🤍

One year ago, I took a leap of faith, stepping away from my dream in the nursing field & following a new path in Photography & Marketing. I NEVER could have imagined where this career change would take me!

Over the last year, I’ve had the honor of capturing:
✨ 126+ sessions
✨ 22,597 photos delivered
✨ Countless smiles, giggles, milestones, & memories that families will cherish for years to come!

But the numbers aren’t what mean the most to me…

The greatest gift has been each & everyone of 𝐘𝐎𝐔.

To every family, couple, senior, mama-to-be, and business owner who trusted me with your biggest moments, 𝑻𝑯𝑨𝑵𝑲 𝒀𝑶𝑼! So many of you started as clients, but somewhere along the way, you became genuine friends… and some of you have even become my 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨! 🥹

Getting to watch your families grow, celebrate engagements, welcome new babies, and document life’s biggest milestones has been the greatest blessing. I even had the honor of capturing two sweet mamas through their entire journey, from pregnancy announcements all the way to newborn sessions. ✨ HOW STINKIN COOL IS THAT?!

𝘼 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙖𝙜𝙤, 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙖 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣...

What I never expected was how many incredible friendships would come from this journey. When I first moved to southwest Iowa, I struggled to meet people and truly feel connected to the community. Now, I look around and can’t believe the amazing people I’ve met, the friendships I’ve built, and the support I’ve been surrounded with. Because of all of you, this place finally feels like home!

🎨 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐓𝐖𝐎! ✨🤍💛🖤✨

I never imagined I’d get the opportunity to do something like this for our community, so glad Karla reached out to me! The first round didn’t hold up because of faulty paint, but thanks to being reimbursed, we were able to give it another shot!

I just want to say, I am not a professional painter - I’m simply someone who loves getting creative and making people smile. Our goal was to create something fun, welcoming, and full of Tri-Center Pride that brings a little happiness to everyone who walks by! ✨

One of my favorite additions this time was incorporating the kids into the mural! 🖤💛 Thank you to all of the amazing parents who brought your little ones out on such short notice to leave their handprints. I love that they’ll always have a small piece of themselves in our community.

I truly hope everyone enjoys it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Thank you for the opportunity, the encouragement, and the support!💛

Okay, I’m back from taking a little break to soak up some family time for all our birthdays 🎉 Now it’s time to get back to it: editing, sending galleries, and sharing all these goodies!

S + D | Engagement Session ✨

This session turned out AMAZING. … You’d never know I hiked about two miles, up a million stairs, with zero service… just to find out there was a parking lot right where we shot 😅 Also learned Canon evenings + no sunlight = a fun little challenge LOL. (I pitched a ride with a nice stranger back to my car THANKFULLY)

But truly, I had the best time celebrating and capturing these two. Now the countdown is on for the BIG DAY! 🎉💍

📸✨ Okay, okay… I spend so much time sharing all of your beautiful families, I figured it was finally time to introduce mine!

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲:
Fun, loud, energetic, slightly chaotic, and yes… definitely on the shorter side. 😂🤍 oh, and you can’t forget my lovely husband & his phone clip! 🙃

We attempted our own family photos (with a little help from my bestie.. who has never used a camera LOL and a whole lot of bribery, bubbles, hopes & dreams.. 🤣).

𝐀 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐮𝐬:
🏡 I’m a SAHM + business owner
💼 Devon works full-time + runs a business
🚪 Most days when he’s walking in the door, I’m walking out the door to a photoshoot!
📣 Little Miss P is starting Cheer Competition & turning FOUR!
🎂 Mr. B turned TWO.. and is currently obsessed with playing in water with cups 🤣💦
⚡ Life is busy, messy, and nonstop… but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

✨ 𝐀 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐮𝐬: EVERYONE in our family has a June birthday, and our son decided to make things extra special by arriving on our anniversary! 🎂🎉❤️ So basically, June is one giant month-long celebration at our house!
