These little big fishies represent basically anything that is good; luck, prosperity, vitality, and longevity and are very closely associated with Japanese culture. So be a Koi. and

I hope this graphic makes you happy.

I don’t know why I am so hype for the summer? I am usually a cooler/warm weather person, preferring cold over hot. Maybe, thoughts of just being a beach bum all day is what I am looking forward too. I will take heat with swimming pools and beaches anytime.

To all my teacher friends, enjoy your summer break. Well deserved.

Philly's Arts and Culture Community rally for public investment in our Creative Economy.

This is some of our first time meeting each other in person! We are not in a square box anymore. We are out here building coalitions and working on the Arts and Culture Taskforce. I am surrounded by some brilliant and creative minds.

Calling all Philly creatives, artists, arts educators, arts leaders, art makers, and creative entrepreneurs - Let's build together.

Art is everywhere and in everything.

Do you know that little voice that tells you, you're not good enough? Yes, I hear them all the time too. It reminds me of the fly, annoying when buzzing around your head until you swat it dead.

There are moments of joy and moments of sorrow. All brought to you by our friend, Life. Some moment changes us completely. Our perspective and views of the world are influenced by our experiences. When the world gets a little bit noisy, I often find myself reflecting on this life's journey. I take deep breaths reliving some of my painful memories. I exhale when counting all of my accomplishments. I focus on my breathing and remind myself that these are the moments that make up our life. Take a moment to breathe and reminisce about life.

Photo Dump:

Photo #1: Photo shot through the windows of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital while visiting our friend for the last time. Philly is all about that Arts and Culture. Philadelphia is the Mural Capital of the World.

Photo #2: My lovebug had a birthday. It's the "2222" special year for him. I found a hidden gem in South Philly. Latino-owned, Amigos Bakery. 2327 S. 12th Street. Amazing individual cakes. My favorite was the Strawberry Cheesecake and of course, you can never go wrong with Red Velvet!!!

Photo #3: My team is the best. I earned the BIzzy Emmy Award. What an honor. The final icing with a cherry on top was my promotion announcement today. I am honored to continue doing more public servant work to continue supporting Philadelphia Entrepreneurs and Creatives!

It’s never easy to say good-bye. Today is tough as we say goodbye to one of our dear friend. Just like that, it is over. We are all left to piece back together our broken hearts.

Time is so precious. Death reminds us of this. Show your loved ones you appreciate them often if not daily and express your love freely. The worst thing is never getting a chance to tell them how you feel or mend any ill feelings.

We made it to the end of 2021. I hope you all made the best of this crazy year. I always find myself reflecting on the journey a couple of days before the countdown. I am grateful for old friends, new friendships, family, and my professional growth. I am disappointed that I didn’t have enough energy to focus on some of my entrepreneurial goals. I have so many ideas that I need to see come to life and I will make sure I set aside some time in 2022 to get that work started.

Thanks for following my journey and I appreciate reading all of yours! Cheers to a happy, healthy, and productive new year!

I will end the year with this “Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.”

Michelle! Thank you for trusting me to capture your milestone.

The beautiful thing about this shoot was how Philly showed her some real birthday love. Sisterly and brotherly affection from strangers were showered upon her everywhere we went. She almost caused an accident, the herd of biker boys wanted to be in her shoot, and a little boy thought she was a princess. It was a fun and amazing day!

I tried my hardest to disconnect from work during my vacation and I think I did an alright job. The days of rest relaxation are over for now. Back to public service work tomorrow. This picture puts these quotes in perspective for me. "The greatest legacy we can leave our children is happy memories." Don't just tell your children about the world, show them." .

I am definitely longing for days when life will return to normal. Normal to me means, the freedom to hug and touch people without the fear of a virus killing me. Only, if I want to hug and touch people. People are often surprised when I tell them I am an introvert. They say I don't understand the meaning of an introvert and that my personality does not reflect that of an introvert. The misconception about introverts is they are cold, shy, or socially anxious - introverts love people, but only in small doses. I can engage happily during events and gatherings but it definitely drains my battery. It is bad for me because I exhaust my energy during my 9-5 and don't have any reserves left for my creative side hustles. This pandemic has taught me how to try and balance that. I didn't say, I perfected it but I am on my way. How are you extroverts doing?

"Just a second can be spent taking a picture but hours can be spent reminiscing over the memories in it." .

Yes, I am reminiscing since I can't shoot as much as I can. A lot of my creative side work is my freedom to create, capture, and tell stories about things, places, and people. It is building community through connection and I love every bit of it.
