Alice and the Flowers 🌸🏵🌹🌺🌻🌼🌷⚘🙏
The flower scene in Disney's version of Alice in Wonderland always stirred strong emotions in me as a little girl. "That's not right!" I yelled. I was so frustrated with the flowers' treatment of Alice when they discovered she wasn't a flower herself. Automatically assuming she was a w**d, they screamed and pushed her out of the garden, never even hearing her out. Better off without such meangirls in your life, little lost girl, but I know how much that kind of treatment hurts.
I remember watching this movie with a friend once. Often without words or glances, we'd have these moments of understanding when we'd watch things together. Maybe it was something we were radiating, some intense sense of relating. This scene I remember sparked one of the many moments I got to see my beautiful friend a little clearer, a little more human, a little more fragile. A little more like me. This is for her ❤
