The rings sitting in their box.
The jewelry you'll wear down the aisle.
The invitation you've probably looked at approximately 400 times.

Before the dress goes on.
Before the doors open.
Before you become someone’s wife.

There's this quiet little window where the day hasn't quite started yet.

I love photographing that part.

One of my favorite things to hear from a couple is, “We're really awkward in photos.”

Because honestly?

Good.

You don't need to know how to pose.

You don't need to know what to do with your hands.

You don't need to know what your “good side” is.

You just need to be willing to walk around with your person, laugh a little, and trust me to guide you.

The rest is my job.

And if I have to tell you to walk down the path together approximately twelve times because the light is that good...
