Tara Beth Photography was created with the dream of establishing myself in the top tier of photographers in the LGBT wedding scene. I have worked with so many unique couples who while on their journey have continued to inspire my own.

I think as a millennial girl/woman raised in the heroine chic fashion disaster days, being outside is awful. We were raised to believe that your body parts shouldn’t touch each other. Your thighs shouldn’t touch, your arms shouldn’t touch your rib cage, etc.

I think this led to lots of millennial women processing trauma from being unable to reach some sort of fashion standard because our bodies weren’t built the way that the industry at the time said we should look.

As I struggle to deal with my trauma from being a young woman during that time, just know that you’re not alone and I’m over here with you, hating wearing tank tops, hating wearing shorts, hating feeling exposed.

Understand that we didn’t do this to ourselves – there were outside powers affecting each and every one of us in our early stages of development.

I hope you can dress how you want, without feeling disappointment or shame. You are sexy, you are beautiful, you are more than enough!
