Monkey is a 3 year old neutered male schnauzer mix who weighs 21 pounds. He was sadly found abandoned and tied to the Appalachian trail. Monkey is the sweetest guy who is very potty trained and enjoys going for walks. He has tested well with other dogs and he would make a good companion for an older person as well. Often times, people think that dogs who end up at shelters have "trauma" or "baggage" and they landed at a shelter because they're defective and there's something wrong with them. Truth is, there's lots of reasons a dog can end up at a shelter due to no fault
Of their own. Siggy is one of those dogs.

Why was he surrendered by the family who's had him since he was just a baby?

Because they go on vacation too much and boarding a dog is too expensive ...

Siggy is a great dog. He's kid friendly, dog friendly and scared of cats. Adopt Siggy!
