This BEAUTIFUL FAMILY was a dream to photograph...
But there is a story here...
I had a studio lined up for them and the studio owner became unreachable and unwilling to honor the agreement we had come to.
So in came the improve and I felt like an utter failure - we had to shoot this in my home- which is not at all set up for taking photos (I had and still have moving boxes and mess EVERYWHERE)
But thank GOD I had a sheet and some ok ish lighting.
Kadyn was such a sweet and amazing client and its been amazing getting to get to know her and her family more because 1 thing about me- friends quickly become family in my life. It's just how it is.
I care deeply about my people.
That being said Beautiful little Daisy has some major surgeries coming up - her little heart was born as big a her mommas and it stretched a little to far and left a rather large hole that isn't closing properly and that makes for some scary things. And some sad things.
Due to her heart condition she is no longer able to nurse at the breast and this was one of the last days she was able to nurse at the breast...
But thankfully I know a Pretty amazing IBCLC who was able to help Momma and baby and that has been another blessing for all of us.
I say all of us because I went through something very similar with my first and I felt like an utter failure of a mother.
My baby was hungry why wasn't my body doing what it should? Why was I being told I was the problem and that when I spoke up not being heard?
Being able to help Kadyn get someone to help her quickly with pumping, supplemental feeding and the care she really needed is what I love the most about this whole thing.
SHE didn't fail.
And being able to tell Kadyn that was like giving myself a big hug that I needed 4 years ago.
We didn't fail.
And little miss Daisy?
She has the best momma EVER!
