a little window light today
•••
Not gonna lie, I am missing being able to take pictures with my "real camera" (in case you missed my stories, I broke my right elbow!).
I've had to put my Project Hope on hold and wondering what it will look like once I'm able to start photographing again.
So often when I want to GO, God makes me WAIT 🥹
This is showing up in many areas of my life, even today my plans have been altered because my car has unexpectedly been in the shop a few days.
They say no one ever really wants to pray for patience! Because that's oftentimes found in things not going your way, or taking longer than you'd like, or having to wait for clear direction, waiting on others, preparing without distraction, disciplining yourself in faith when you don't see any change or slow progress, all trusting God in His timing and ways, while not getting discouraged or sidetracked etc etc!
But today I'm praying for patience anyway. And I know there will be fruit in the learning of it.

Maybe you can relate? If so, this prayer is for both of us!

Lord, thank You for always pointing me back to YOU! Help me to be faithful with what is in my hands, help me steward well what You have given me. Teach me what it looks like to wait with a gentle and quiet spirit, patiently and expectantly for Your guidance and promises for my life. Help me make the best use of the time, even when plans change. Help me to not grumble or complain, but cultivate a heart of gratitude and continue on in fervent fortitude beyond what I can plainly see knowing that You are doing far more than I can ask, think, or imagine. Please continue to grow and deepen my faith as I abide in You with a thankful heart, in Jesus' name, AMEN 🙏🤍

Good morning! I've shared this with many of you, but if you haven't had a chance to see it TODAY is the last day it will be available. When Nate and Erin Sees were talking about this movie in our small group, I was so excited to have a chance to watch it after hearing some of the details of how it was made and the heart behind the film. They could offer more insight, but it was created as a labor of love by many talented Christians at the top of their creative field, volunteering their time and talents to make this film. I just love the excellence behind it, the collaboration, the new innovative creativity, and the beautiful and relatable story that glorifies the Lord. Here are just a few of the responses from friends of mine after watching,

"We watched as a family! What tears of sadness, joy and love we all had. It was amazing. Thank you for sharing."

"So sweet and full of symbolism from scripture and mankind in general! How you could fall in love with a little animated bear and tree in a few short minutes says God is touching hearts! It touched mine! ❤️"

"It was so touching. I could see the Prodigal son, the human heart born of sin and full of greed and craving the fun of sin for a season because of our fallen nature., the all forgiving Father God, beauty from ashes, Jesus giving up His life for sinner, on and on it goes! It just reminds you of so much!"

"reminds me of my own heart/mankind's heart without Christ and the vs ~ Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

"just sent it to my kids and other family members! i've watched it three times already!"

"You don’t know what you have until it’s too late. Be appreciative of what you have. Very nice."

"I didnt feel like crying this early in the morning that was absolutely amazing!

"so sweet and sad all at the same time"

"Cute and well done!"

Hope you have a few minutes today to enjoy this film too! 💟

Checking in and saying hi! It's a beautiful rainy week here in the desert and I found a quiet & cozy peaceful spot at Grove Coffee to relax, write, read, and be inspired. The hot vanilla chai was good too! Just a reminder as we create how important it is to surround ourselves with other creatives, uplifting places and spaces, and opportunities for beauty and encouragement to keep the mind clear and flowing with good, fresh ideas.

I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Well I would describe this past week in a way someone from our missions ministry often says, praying our faces off! Truly starting to get a taste of praying without ceasing as I've been able to join in this outreach work, and in many of my own personal interactions as well. 🙌

I say this because I would really love for you to also join me in praying specifically that people in our country would have the food they need to sustain and nourish them. And that they would not be fearful, that this extremely difficult circumstance would be resolved quickly, and that many people would come to know the Lord and see Him working through His people as so many wonderful non-profit organizations and churches try to fill the gap. Thank you Lord for those who are being your hands and feet on the ground, the helpers. We pray all needs will be met in abundance, with compassion and care, and with the love of Jesus. Thank you Jesus, Amen.
🙏
Friends, the need is great. But God sees. He knows, and He cares. Let us continue to shine the light in dark places, and if you are able to be hands and feet in your area, consider what that may look like.

Locally we have an incredible and dignified organization through my church, Christ Church, called City Hope . Definitely a strong resource to direct your dollars to help those in need of food, clothing, and toiletries, and I know it will be stewarded well! Thank you! ❤️

There's a Proverb that says, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing"!

I'm so thankful to have had the honor of capturing this sweet, intimate wedding ceremony the other night.

No storms could stop it, and the clouds provided such a beautiful, warm light to make for the perfect evening.

Congratulations to Doug and Kim, may your life together be richly blessed!
