Before we shot a single frame with Koarveda, I asked what they wanted their ideal customer to feel holding these gummies — not just what they looked like.

The main props were tied directly to the hero ingredients inside each one — cherries, pineapple, mango, lemon, and blackberries.

We started with the ingredients for the model shots, then moved into different settings within the ideal client’s day to shoot the gummies in context.

Because when your imagery is rooted in what the product actually is — and where it fits in her life — your customer doesn’t just see it. She understands it.

That’s the difference between photographing a product and photographing what it’s for.

In August, I’m holding space for one comprehensive brand refinement session.

This is designed for an established skincare or wellness founder preparing for a website evolution, seasonal launch, or elevated positioning.

When the product or service is ready to be taken seriously, the imagery should be too. ✨

Three gummies.

Three completely different stories.

EASE — Winding down, peaceful, restorative.

ELEVATE — Motivated, bright, active, getting things done.

ZEST — Vibrant, bold, flavorful, full of life.

Same brand. Same commitment to clean ingredients.

Three distinct moments in someone’s day.

Something I noticed while shooting ELEVATE this week —

Energy doesn’t need to be loud to be felt.

A clean athletic set, a water bottle, the right light — and suddenly the product isn’t just visible.

It belongs somewhere.

It means something.

That’s what styling in context does. It stops explaining and starts showing.

The questions I ask before a shoot aren’t all about styling.

They’re about feeling.

With Koarveda, the goal was to capture three distinct moments for every product —

reaching for it, opening it, and the shift that happens after.

That’s not a styling checklist.

That’s a creative strategy.

And it’s the difference between a photo library and a brand asset.

Before we styled a single shot, I have a conversation about what EASE was actually supposed to feel like.

Not just the product.

The moment someone reaches for it.

That became our creative anchor for everything.

None of it was random.

Each choice was asking the same question: does this feel like her exhale?

That’s where the shoot really begins.

Before the camera.

Before the light.

Before anything is arranged.

Before we ever shoot, there’s always a conversation that changes everything.

“I just need more photos.”

Usually it’s fewer, clearer ones.

“My product needs to be the focus.”

Often it’s the brand’s perspective that needs to come through first.

“This feels like a styling issue.”

Most of the time it goes deeper than that.

With Koarveda, before we ever picked up a camera we spent time getting clear on what each image actually needed to communicate. That conversation changes everything.

I don’t think most founders are missing just content.

I think they’re still figuring out what their brand is really trying to say — and that’s completely normal.

Brands grow and shift. The message evolves.

My job is asking the right questions to find where you are right now and build imagery around that.

Here’s what most founders get wrong about trust-building imagery: they think it’s all about quality.

It’s not. It’s about consistency.

A beautifully lit photo that doesn’t match your brand’s actual values will always underperform a simpler one that does.

With Koarveda , the goal was never the most polished shot — it was the one that looked exactly like the brand sounds.

That’s not luck. That’s strategy before the shutter ever clicks.

If your photos are technically great but still not converting, the gap isn’t your photographer’s skill.

It’s alignment.

None of this would have happened a week ago without — we built this vision together, decision by decision. That’s what alignment actually looks like behind the scenes.

Why I want to work with clean wellness brands — and it runs a lot deeper than aesthetics.

A few years ago I lost someone close to me.
My SIL Dani to cancer.

In the aftermath of that, I started paying a lot more attention to what we put in and on our bodies.

What we trust. What we reach for.

I’d already been interested in healthy alternatives but that loss made it personal in a way I couldn’t ignore.

So when I pivoted into brand photography, I didn’t want to shoot just anything. I wanted to work with founders who are building something that actually matters.

Products rooted in intention. Brands people can trust.

That’s who I make work for.

If you’re building something in the clean wellness space — I see what you’re doing, and I’d love to help you show the world what it actually is. 🤍

Two days. Three products. Three models.

One founder who showed up completely open to the process.

This is what a Brand Refinement Session actually looks like behind the scenes — not just a shoot, but a creative partnership built around your brand’s story and where it’s going.

I don’t show up with a generic shot list. I show up with a plan we built together, and then we bring it to life.

More from this one coming soon. 🤍
