343 — We Remember 🇺🇸 🚒🚑

You may notice that we will look a little different tomorrow—and throughout the rest of September.

Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1 & 2 personnel will be wearing shirts with 343 on the back as we honor and remember the 343 firefighters and fire officers who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

343 is more than just a number. It represents 343 brothers and sisters who answered the call, ran towards danger and entered the World Trade Center, and made the ultimate sacrifice while serving others.

For us, wearing 343 is a simple way to keep their memory alive and recognize the courage and sacrifice of those who came before us.

As we go about our daily calls, training, and time in the community, we’ll carry their memory with us.

Tomorrow, and throughout September, if you see 343 on our backs, know that we’re remembering.
