There are a couple of really good videos that go through the Alde control panel for the TAB 360 and 360 CS. They go through the panel, methodically.

This video isn't either of those.

This video is based in the different tasks and a couple of common questions I see about operating the Alde and Truma Saphir.

I cover:

✅️Selecting and prioritizing between shore power and propane so the panel uses the energy source you want

✅️Activating the AC and the heat

✅️Setting the Alde Auto climate control so the panel manages temperature for you

✅️Turning on dark mode for the display

✅️Fixing the issue where the heat kicks on while the AC is running

✅️Using day and night modes

If you're standing at your TAB with no water coming out — or with a pump that won't stop running — take a breath. You haven't broken anything. This is one of the most common things new owners run into, and it's almost always the same culprit: air has gotten into your water lines.
It usually happens when the pump ran on a nearly empty freshwater tank. Air gets pulled in where water should be, and the pump can't push it back out on its own. (Air compresses. Water doesn't. That's why your lines won't pressurize.)
The good news is the fix is quick and you don't need any tools. I put two solutions on the blog — one for when you have city water at your site, one for when you don't — plus the small habits that keep it from happening in the first place.

When I started camping, I didn't realize that for some people, camping is synonymous with cooking and eating. Then I met the group with outdoor kitchens: TAB clamshell owners (CS models.)

In this video, I interview TAB owners who share their kitchen preferences and why.

I created this video before the TAB 360 or 360 CS were available, but the discussion and points made mostly still apply. The only really difference is that with the TAB 360 you aren't sacrificing bed size.

A wonderful weekend with the Ohio & Pennsylvania TABs & Friends last weekend at Caesar Creek State park. We share a couple of fires, a potluck, lots of good conversation and an abundance of laughter.

New Campground: Big Muskie Campground

Ohio's newest state park has a new campground featuring 50 full-hookup sites and brand new Frank Lloyd Wright inspired cabins.

The upside: clean, brand new, FHU sites, lots of shaded sites quiet.

The less than perfect: most sites are close together and lack privacy. There are lots of weird bugs.

Tips: Site 4 is probably the largest but no shade, pull-through sites might best options for shade and privacy. Site #1 is probably the go-to site for most people. The campground has a laundry facility but it was locked.

A TAB caravan is a great way to enjoy amazing places with people who enhance the experience.

Here are some tips to make your caravan a better experience:

1. Agree on "rules of the road". Choose a leader and caboose, set a speed that is comfortable for everyone, and check in regularly to make sure the way travel is going is agreeable for everyone. Make sure the leader knows when folks need to stop for fuel and plan for those in advance if possible.

2. Keep a safe distance, with enough space for vehicles to pass each trailer/tow vehicle combo. Make it easy for vehicles to pass you.

3. Parking and getting gas can be challenging. Look for larger gas stations when possible that provide ample space for trailers and tow vehicles like Love's, Pilot, and Speedways. Sometimes it makes sense to look for parking and walking to grab a bite to eat, sightsee, or other stops.
